take care
Mimesis orchids prefer room temperature. Put them in a bright location, but avoid direct sunlight in the summer months as this may cause leaf discolouration. If your orchid is dropping its flower buds or leaves, this may signal that it is not getting enough light.
Let your orchid soak in a layer of water for 10 minutes once a week. This will give the roots enough time to absorb the water they need. The aerial roots growing out of the pot are part of the orchid. We think they are beautiful, but you can cut them away if you prefer.
Is your orchid in an arrangement? Then place 2 ice cubes next to the leaf of the plant twice a week or pour 40 cc of water next to the heart of the plant twice a week.
Mimesis orchids are easy to care for but should be kept away from draughts. They are very sensitive to large temperature changes and should not be placed near ripening fruit.
