When you say Christmas, you say plants. The tree, beautiful table pieces and the mistletoe above the door. But we give you some extra Christmas inspiration. To do it yourself!
Different types of Phalaenopsis are ideally suited for processing in an arrangement because of their shape. By finishing the plant with green plants, you make it an exceptionally large piece. And that’s perfect to enrich your living room!
In this video, we keep the Phalaenopsis as a radiant centerpiece. And we’ll show you step by step how to make it yourself! This is a great activity for the whole family. Below you can read the steps again point by point.
Step by step do it yourself arrangement:
1: Half-fill a large pot with potting soil.
2: Remove the plastic pots from the plants and immerse them in a bowl of water.
3: Distribute the plants diagonally across the pot.
4: Press them down firmly with some extra potting soil.
5: Distribute the plants until the pot is nicely filled, leave some space in the middle for the orchids.
6: Place the orchids in the centre of the pot. Make sure that a little orchid soil remains between the roots.
Step 7: Place the mini-orchids on the edge of the pot and drape some of the roots over the edge.
Step 8: Water the arrangement if the soil feels dry or the plants start to droop.
